This 13 years old Chakma girl was gang raped by the members of the Bangladesh Army on 19 December 1986. About 20 personnel of the Bangladesh Army from the army camp at Viswa Ram Karbari Para of Dighinala, raided the Jumma village of Nuaram Karbari Para, at such a time in the morning when all the male inhabitants of the village were taken by force to cut the jungle surrounding the army camp.

The soldiers of the Bangladesh Army encircled the village at 11:00 a.m. and on the pretext of making searches entered the houses. All the women and the girls who were in their houses, were stripped by the soldiers and were subjected to gang rape. Even the minors were not spared.

The Bangladeshi security personnel have been inflicting rape upon the Jumma women since the conflict started in the mid 1970s. The Bangladesh military systematically use rape as a deliberate tactic to destroy or damage the Jumma nation.

Myanmar's insurgent United Wa State Army (UWSA) has for the first time acquired an armed rotary-wing aviation capability with assistance from China: the latest move in a programme of rapid rearmament.

China delivered several Mil Mi-17 'Hip' medium-transport helicopters armed with TY-90 air-to-air missiles to the Wa in late February and early March, according to both Myanmar ethnic minority and Myanmar government sources.

Some Egyptians are concerned over the group's aim to establish a state ruled by sharia, or Islamic law, and ambiguity over its respect for human rights. Such concerns intensified after Morsi announced new sweeping powers for the presidency in late 2012 and a draft of the proposed constitution was published. The domestic political challenges also provide a difficult road for U.S.-Egypt relations, especially with regards to foreign aid.

On 8 May 1986, The Bangladesh Army motivated by religious fanaticism attacked "Navajyoti Buddhist Vihara" (Navajyoti Buddhist Temple) at Lalyaghona Village in Baghaichari Upazilla (sub district), destroyed and desecrated the temple by breaking down one of the images.

It's part of the systematic pattern of the Bangladesh military's attack against the religious minorities of the country. Religious fundamentalism and intolerance to the religious minorities are on the rise in Bangladesh in general and military in particular.

Religious persecution and destruction of places of worship is commonplace in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT). Religious persecution takes place in the form of torture, murder, intimidation of the monks of the Buddhist, Hindu and Christian faiths and deliberate and systematic destructions of places of worship. The following information is just a small fraction of the Bangladesh (BD) Government organised religious persecution committed against the Jumma people of the CHT.

On 6 November 2011 a Burmese Buddhist girl (name withheld to protect her) a Phar-an native was kidnapped by a group of Bengali-Muslims led by Hussein-by (a) Arkar Naing. She was raped and then forced to marry the kalar Hussein-by at an illegal Sharai Court in the town of Tha-htone in neighboring Mon State.

A new documentary secretly filmed inside several of the 85 Islamic Sharia Law courts operating in Britain has exposed the systematic discrimination that many women are suffering at the hands of Muslim jurists.

The documentary, Secrets of Britain's Sharia Courts , was filmed by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and was first aired on BBC Panorama, a long-running current affairs program, on April 8.

Buddhist Temples Torched By Muslims in Bangladesh!

Criminals torched the Buddha idol in Shakyamuni pagoda of Boalkhali in Chittagong after breaking into the monastery early yesterday. They burnt its robe but managed to make way with five smaller idols and the donation box.

Mystery shrouds arson attacks on Buddhist temple and orphanage at Patiya, and looting and vandalism at another temple at Boalkhali in the last three days.

The incidents, carried out in similar fashion, have sent shock waves through the Buddhists in the areas. They hark back to September last when two temples were vandalised at Kolagaon union in Patiya. Also that month, fanatics destroyed 18 Buddhist temples, monasteries and more than 50 houses at Ramu upazila in adjoining Cox’s Bazar district.

Bogus AP Tweet Reported White House Explosions!

Early Tuesday afternoon, the verified Twitter account of the Associated Press was hacked. The breaking news tweet (captured below) claimed President Obama had been injured due to "two explosions" in the White House.

The tweet went out to  the AP's 1.9 million followers.

The AP account was quickly suspended  and through the use of their verified corporate communications Twitter account, the AP stated that the tweet was "bogus."

This monk was injured by the Bangladesh Army. The Bangladesh Army attacked his village and temple during the Matiranga, Panchari massacres on 30 April - 1 May 1986, they destroyed the temple, Buddha images and Buddhist texts. This monk like many others had to seek refuge in Tripura, India. 

The destruction of Jumma peoples' religious and cultural life in the CHT have been a marked feature of the CHT conflict since the early 1970s. The Jumma peoples of the CHT are Buddhists, Hindus, Christians and Animists. These religious groupings reflect ethnic differences.

The Chakma, Tangchanya and Marma are mainly Buddhists, the Tripuras Hindus and some smaller groups such as the Bawm and Pankhua are Christians. Mru and Khumi practise what is known as Animism. Religious tolerance has been a long tradition of the Jumma people.

The Daily Caller reported Friday that the ISB hosted at its satellite cultural center a book signing April 6 featuring British journalist Victoria Brittain, who has criticized the United States and United Kingdom for waging a “war against Islam” in its anti-terrorism efforts.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, posted a YouTube video of fiery Sheik Feiz Mohammad, who had encouraged children to become martyrs for Islam, it was reported yesterday.

In 2007, a British documentary called “Undercover Mosque” showed footage of him saying children should be “soldiers defending Islam.’’

He said, “Teach them this: There is nothing more beloved to me than wanting to die as a mujahid. Put in their soft, tender hearts the zeal of jihad and a love of martyrdom.’’

Chittipudi Chakma, 6 months, daughter of Manek Kumar Chakma was killed by the Bengali Muslim settlers on 2 February 1992 at Malya massacre. Two bombs exploded on a passenger boat. The explosion killed a passenger and seriously injured the driver of the boat.

The survivors swam ashore, but the armed Bengali Muslim settlers were awaiting for them and attacked the indigenous passengers - men, women and children. About 30 indigenous people were killed.

Since 1980, the Bangladesh army and the Bengali Muslim settlers had committed 13 major massacres in the Chittgong Hill Tracts (hereafter CHT). Even then massacres were not new in the CHT by then.

During the Bangladesh's liberation war against Pakistan, in 1971 the Mukti Bahini (freedom fighters of Bangladesh) perpetrated 3 massacres against the Jumma civilians in the CHT. But it was during the war against Shanti Bahini (the armed resistance of the Jumma people), the Bangladesh Army and the Bangladesh Government stepped up the frequency and intensity of mass murders against innocent civilians.

The two used in Monday’s attack are similar to devices in the failed 2010 Times Square bombing and the 2006 Mumbai train bombings that killed more than 200 people, officials said.

“They’re made out of stainless steel and the whole idea is the pressure builds up and when it explodes it rips the metal into shrapnel . . . Police took a 20-year-old Saudi national into custody near the scene of yesterday’s horrific Boston Marathon bomb attack, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

The potential suspect was questioned by the FBI and local police yesterday at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he was under heavy guard while being treated for shrapnel injuries to his leg sustained in the blast.

In late afternoon, a large group of federal and state law enforcement agents raided an apartment in a building in the Saudi man’s hometown of Revere, Mass.

Investigators have a suspect — a Saudi Arabian national — in the horrific Boston Marathon bombings, The Post has learned.

Law enforcement sources said the 20-year-old suspect was under guard at an undisclosed Boston hospital.

Fox News reported that the suspect suffered severe burns.

It was not immediately clear why the man was hospitalized and whether he was injured in the attack or in his apprehension.

The man was caught less than two hours after the 2:50 p.m. bombing on the finish line of the race, in the heart of Boston.

In addition, Boston police have surveillance video of someone bringing multiple backpacks to the blast site, according to CBS News.

The Chittagong Hill Tracts (hereafter CHT), an area of 13,295 square kilometers, is the south eastern part of Bangladesh, bordering the Arakan and Chin States of Burma, and Tripura and Mizoram States of India.

From the time immemorial the CHT have been the home of thirteen indigenous ethnic groups. They collectively identify themselves as the Jumma people, the first peoples of the CHT. They are Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Tanchangya, Mro, Murung, Lushai, Khumi, Chak, Khyang, Bawm, Pankhua, and Reang.

The Jumma people are distinct and different from the majority Bengali population of Bangladesh in respect of race, language, culture, religion and ethnicity. 

1. British Period(1787-1947):

Similar to other indigenous peoples of the world, the Jumma people were also independent before the British colonial period. The British annexed the CHT area in 1860 and created an autonomous administrative district known as "The Chittagong Hill Tracts" within the undivided British Bengal.

“What is our sin, sir?” she screamed. “Is it a sin to pray? Show us where our mistake is. I thought this is a democratic country. Please, Mr. President, we were born here in this country with five religions. We never did anything bad to their houses of worship. Why are they doing this to us?”

Monk Thawbita: Burned-Alive By Muslims In Meikhtilar!

Burmese-Buddhist monk Shin Thawbita who was brutally assaulted and then burned alive by the Muslim mob in Meikhtilar at about 5 in the afternoon of March 20 was a devout teacher-monk from Mogaung Monastery in Hanzar Village of Tharzi Twonship. 

He was 45 but he had been a monk for only two years. A son of U Mya Yin and Daw Ei from Done-gone Village near the town of Thedaw. When he was very young he became a novice training to become a monk and he studied up to first grade junior monk (Pa-hta-ma-dan-nge) at Mya-hnin-zee Teaching Monastery in Thedaw Town.

He left the novicehood later and became a layman farmer and his Burmese name is Tin Htun. The present abbot of Mogaung Monastery in Hanzar village U Pannisa was his former classmate from that novice period.

A GROUP of Burmese Muslims (more than 200 illegal Bengali Muslims detained there) beat eight Burmese Buddhists (out of 11 illegal fishermen from Burma detained there) to death at an Indonesian detention centre (in Medan) overnight after becoming enraged at news of deadly communal violence in their homeland, officials said.

The Rohingya Muslims launched the attack at the immigration centre on Sumatra island using weapons fashioned from smashed up beds and broom handles after seeing pictures of recent religious violence in Burma that left dozens dead.
