Brand new KAs for PDFs. |
The five newly-formed PDF battalions were armed with
nearly 500 Kachin-assembled KA-09 automatic rifles which basically are the
near-exact copies of Chinese Type-81 assualt rifles, itself a modified variant
of that ubiquitous AK-47 assault rifles.
On an interview
with Myanmar-Now Media in last January Yi Mon the NUG Defense Minister declared
they were needing 300 million US$ in next four months to purchase 20,000
assault rifles to arm their PDF units in Burma. So many young Burmese men were
joining the PDF and they needed guns, good guns right now, he said.
Then on a recent interview Minister Yi Mon proudly declared that 75% of that funding target was achieved last six month partly from public donations and mostly from the collection of taxes from newly-liberated territories inside Burma the NUG administration now fully controlls and administers.
Obvious
conclusion from those intreviews and the news-pieces of recent armings of
newly-formed PDF battalions is that tens of thousands of KA-09 assaut rifles hastily
assembled in KIA- controlled weapon-manufacturing facilities on the Burma-China
borderline have been purchased by NUG from the KIA.
The most
interesting fact from those events is that Communist-China, supposedly the fervent
supporter of Myanmar Army, has been supplying the parts and technology needed
to assemble the KA-09 rifles to the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). And the KIA
is happily selling the KA-09 assualt rifles to the NUG with Chinese permission.
Obvioulsy the
two-faced Chinese communists are openly arming the Burmese PDF rebel forces
with thousands and thousnands of cheap assault rifles while still selling
happily the high-end expensive items like jet fighters and frigates and
submarines to the Myanmar Army.
This year alone,
China has pocketed 300 million US$ from the Burmese rebels for 20,000 KA-09
assault rifles to kill the Myanmar soldiers, and another 300 milion US$ from
the Myanmar Army for two or three second-hand submarines and a coupe of jet
trainer planes to kill the Burmese rebels.
It’s a greaty-profitable business and nobody cares of
the sad fact that the poor Burmese people are paying for those Chinese
weapons-of-war with their bloods and guts and tears and limbs!
