Taming "Hlaing Tharyar" Rangoon's Wild-west Township

Government seeks to tame Hlaing Tharyar, Yangon’s wild west: The government is dividing Hlaing Tharyar into two townships, in a desperate bid to bring order to an industrial suburb beset by criminal gangs, shoddy infrastructure and over-population.

IT'S 5 pm and the area around Hlaing Tharyar Township’s Bogyoke bus stop is deceptively quiet. The small food stalls on No. 5 Main Road are mostly empty, and knots of motorbike taxi drivers wait for customers to spill out of the nearby factories.

Among them is Chit Ko, sitting astride his motorbike as he chews a quid of betel and occasionally spits a streak of red juice on the road. “Wait and see, brother!” he says. “In half an hour you won’t be able to move because of the crowd.”

Tulsa Race Riots, Oklahoma (1921)

During the Tulsa Race Massacre (also known as the Tulsa Race Riot), which occurred over 18 hours on May 31-June 1, 1921, a white mob attacked residents, homes and businesses in the predominantly black Greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The event remains one of the worst incidents of racial violence in U.S. history, and one of the least-known: News reports were largely squelched, despite the fact that hundreds of people were killed and thousands left homeless.

In much of the country, the years following World War I saw a spike in racial tensions, including the resurgence of the white supremacist group the Ku Klux Klan, numerous lynchings and other acts of racially motivated violence, as well as efforts by African Americans to prevent such attacks on their communities.

Racist Obama Fuelled, Aided, and Abetted Antifa

President Obama ‘fuelled, aided, and abetted’ anti-cop movement in US: Sky News contributor Cory Bernardi says the legislators around the world have gone missing by not “defending the role of police and the rightful authority they have in maintaining law and order”.

The New York Police Benevolent Association President Mike O’Meara who stood in front of fellow NYPD members his police force “roundly reject what (the Minneapolis police officer) did as disgusting,” but said from the original crime against George Floyd, “our legislators abandoned us, the press is vilifying us”.

Mr Bernardi told Sky News host Peta Credlin the “genesis” of the anti-police movement was “fueled, aided, and abetted by Barack Obama”. He also claimed President Obama “misrepresented a whole range of things” which happened in America to create, within the nation, a “race baiting culture”.

U Thant Uprising in Rangoon, Burma (1974)

Believe it or not, our small group of about 50 students from the RIT’s First Year Section-D unknowingly started the 1974 student uprising. Beginning of the so-called "U Thant Uprising" was the day I will never forget even though, nowadays, I can't really recall the exact date.

Then in 1974, I was a first year engineering student at the famous Soviet-built Rangoon Institute of Technology. (Bastard generals changed her name to some Yangon Technical University or some idiotic name later just to break her rebellious tradition.)

We, the whole class of First Year Section-D, were in the lecture hall 1-3-16 or 1-3-18, I don’t really remember now, without even noticing the secret preparation for the uprising, seriously following the lecture as usual.

Suddenly a couple of senior students rudely busted into the lecture theater and simply told us to get out and into the waiting buses just outside on the campus ground.

Defund The Police? Detroit Did & Children are Dying

Defund The Police? Detroit Did That. Now Children Are Dying. I know a mother on the east side of Detroit who would like police protesters to come picket in her neighborhood.

It's not so much that she agrees with their demands for better treatment at the hands law enforcement – which she does. It's more the fact that there are fewer cops than ever in her rough-and-tumble neighborhood since special operations officers have been reassigned to keep order downtown.

“We don't have enough police as it is,” says Rochelle Jones, a working mother of two. “People are acting the fool out here, and now you know the police aren't going to be coming around this summer with all that's going on. So what are the children supposed to do.”

Started By Marxists-Anarchists, Warlord Rules CHAZ

Seattle ‘Autonomous’ Zone Now Ruled By ‘Warlord’: Now that the six-block area known as Seattle’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) has captured the nation’s attention, everyone’s wondering exactly what’s going on inside the territory.

Although the zone was declared a police-free area last week, those pronouncements were apparently precipitously made as CHAZ quickly fell under the watchful eye of Raz Simone. Raz is a rapper and an AirBnB ‘superhost’ who describes himself as someone who enjoys art, mentoring youth and philanthropy. He was also one of the only armed men in the territory.

Raz earned the title of the “warlord of CHAZ” after patrolling the area with an AK-47 and a band of armed men who declared, “We are the police now.”

Christopher F. Rufo tweeted, " The #SeattleAutonomousZone is devolving into warlordism. Rapper Raz Simone, who has been patrolling the barricades with an AK-47 and a handgun, has begun assaulting residents who disobey him. "We are the police now," says his crew. "We are the leaders."

Sawant: The Indian Marxist Bitch Behind The CHAZ

(Staff article from The KOMO NEWS on 12 June 2020.)

Councilwoman Sawant says 'CHAZ' should be permanently in community control: As the Seattle Police Department works to broker a deal with protesters occupying an autonomous zone in the heart of Capitol Hill, a Seattle City Councilmember said the area known as "CHAZ" should remain in community control permanently.

The Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, known as "CHAZ," has been in community control since Tuesday, when Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best decreased the officers' presence in the East Precinct to allow for peaceful protests.

India-born Seattle Councilwoman Kshama Sawant called the "CHAZ" movement a major victory. She said the area should be turned over permanently into community control, instead of back in the hands of the Seattle Police Department.

Sawant said she plans to create legislation to turn the East Precinct into a community center for restorative justice. The councilwoman wants to discuss the legislation with people involved in CHAZ, black community organizations, restorative justice, faith, anti-racist, renter orgns, land trusts, groups, labor unions that have a proven record of fighting racism.

Anarchy In Seattle: Rapper Warlord Running CBD

It Only Took 2 Days For Seattle’s “Autonomous Zone” To Descend Into Chao: BLM Protesters in Seattle decided that they were going to give us a living, breathing example of how the world should really operate.

The police were completely kicked out of a six block area of downtown Seattle, and armed guards were posted at all the entrances to the “Capital Hill Autonomous Zone” in order to make sure that their “utopia” would not be interrupted.

At first, people were dancing and singing in the streets, free food was being passed out to everyone, gardens were being started, and free movies were being played at night under the stars.  It was such a glorious beginning for “CHAZ”, but within hours major problems began to develop.

No Police: Just Elected Sheriffs & Armed Militias?

BLM replacing the Asian faces with Black faces.
The Political Left Used George Floyd's Dead Body As A Social Justice Marionette: There is an important question in the George Floyd case that almost no one seems to be asking, and I think it needs to be addressed:  Is there any evidence that George Floyd died because he is black?

I bring it up because the prevailing narrative from the mainstream media and Black Lives Matter is that this is a verified fact, yet, I've seen no proof to back the claim. I've seen no evidence so far that any of the police involved have a background of racial prejudice. I do know two of them including Derek Chauvin had a history of abuse complaints from people of various races, but this is a separate issue.

How is it that a discussion that should have been about police brutality and abuse of power was allowed to be hijacked and turned into an issue of “white supremacy” that all white Americans are supposed to apologize for?

Segregation: "Separate But Equal" Doctrine

Racial segregation during the Jim Crow era was a system that relegated African Americans to the position of second class citizens, lasting between 1877 and the mid-1960s. The most common types of segregation mandated that public institutions and business owners keep blacks and whites separated. Intermarriage was also forbidden.

Here is one example of a state law enforcing segregation in Alabama: “No person or corporation shall require any white female nurse to nurse in wards or rooms in hospitals, either public or private, in which negro [sic] men are placed.” In 1896, the Supreme Court ruled in Plessy v. Ferguson that state laws enforcing racial segregation in private businesses was constitutional under the principle that segregation was legal so long as blacks and whites were granted equal public accommodations (the “separate but equal” doctrine).

However, blacks and whites were not granted equal treatment. Blacks were denied jobs, access to good schools, and were forced to sit behind whites in public transport facilities. In addition to legal separation, racial segregation included a set of beliefs that whites were superior to blacks in terms of intelligence and morality.

George Floyd Riots: Nationwide Looting and Destroying

Kneeling Democrats honoring the looters and rioters?
Catch me if you can? Chicago looters BRAG on Facebook about unloading stolen goods: After two weeks pillaging shops under the cover of George Floyd protests, over-confident looters are boasting about their hauls on Facebook. The police and FBI claim to be hot on their trail – but currently have their hands full.

As if the chaotic scenes of lawlessness were not enough for Chicago, a local TV network was shocked to discover looters brazenly showing off their hauls on social media. CBS affiliate WBBM reported on the phenomenon on Monday, airing excerpts of multiple clips posted by one woman, who apparently took part in a heist and documented it all in a Facebook Live.

Not only wasn’t she afraid of getting caught, but she also sought to shame Facebook users for sharing the videos with police. One video had been shared more than 6,000 times. According to police abolitionists like her, not getting robbed is now a white privilege and must be Destroyed.

New York Times, Free Speech, & Death of Democracy

The New York Times exploded in what one veteran writer and editor for the paper called a “civil war.”

"The civil war inside The New York Times between the (mostly young) wokes and the (mostly 40+) liberals is the same one raging inside other publications and companies across the country. The dynamic is always the same," Tweeted Bari Weiss.

The “war” was over an opinion piece written by Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) who called for bringing in the military as a last resort to quell the riots and looting in American cities if local police forces were too overwhelmed to accomplish this task.

The Systemic Collapse Of United States Has Begun?

I have lived in the United States for a total of 24 years and I have witnessed many crises over this long period, but what is taking place today is truly unique and much more serious than any previous crisis I can recall.  And to explain my point, I would like to begin by saying what I believe the riots we are seeing taking place in hundreds of US cities are not about.  They are not about:

Racism or “White privilege”
Police violence
Social alienation and despair
Poverty
Trump
The liberals pouring fuel on social fires
The infighting of the US elites/deep state

They are not about any of these because they encompass all of these issues, and more. It is important to always keep in mind the distinction between the concepts of “cause” and “pretext”.  And while it is true that all the factors listed above are real (at least to some degree, and without looking at the distinction between cause and effect), none of them are the true cause of what we are witnessing.

Send In The Troops: Invoke The Insurrection Act

This week, rioters have plunged many American cities into anarchy, recalling the widespread violence of the 1960s.

New York City suffered the worst of the riots Monday night, as Mayor Bill de Blasio stood by while midtown Manhattan descended into lawlessness. Bands of looters roved the streets, smashing and emptying hundreds of businesses. Some even drove exotic cars; the riots were carnivals for the thrill-seeking rich as well as other criminal elements.

Outnumbered police officers, encumbered by feckless politicians, bore the brunt of the violence. In New York state, rioters ran over officers with cars on at least three occasions. In Las Vegas, an officer is in "grave" condition after being shot in the head by a rioter. In St. Louis, four police officers were shot as they attempted to disperse a mob throwing bricks and dumping gasoline; in a separate incident, a 77-year-old retired police captain was shot to death as he tried to stop looters from ransacking a pawnshop. This is "somebody's granddaddy," a bystander screamed at the scene.

Suzuki & Sawamoto: Burma's Founding Fathers (4)

On 1 February 1941, the Minami Kikan was brought to life as joint Army-Navy venture, under Colonel Suzuki Keiji. Its chief aim was to cut the Burma route supplying Chunking; an ancillary assignment was to aid Burmese independence.

Army and Navy members met several times during February to discuss plans and tactics. The basic plan was to bring thirty Thakhin Party members out of Burma, train them, supply them with arms and ammunition, and smuggle them back into Burma, where they would instigate anti-British military action.

Southern Burma would be occupied by guerrilla forces and an independent government would be created. There is some questions as to whether IGHQ approved the last point.

Passports were arranged under false names for Aung San and Hla Myaing, who were provided with false teeth as part of their disguise. Sugii was instructed to arrange with the Daido Steamship Company for smuggling Aung San into Burma by ship and was to accompany him. Sugii was also to take charge of smuggling other members out of Burma and transporting them to their training camp on Hainan Island.

George Floyd Riots: On The verge Of Suburban Civil War

Antifa arrests coming, concerns over riots heading to suburbia, government source says: Agitators behind the rioting that has paralyzed the country over the past week want to move into more suburban areas, a government intelligence source has told Fox News.

Much of the worry stems from the notion that many in well-armed, suburban, and rural neighborhoods won't hesitate to exercise their Second Amendment rights and elevated anxieties could lead to heavy confrontation. "Antifa knows this," said the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. "Local and state authorities have to get a grip on this because if it moves to the suburbs, more people will die."

Several analysts pointed to places that have served as something of "testbed" locations – including Madison, Wis., which was ransacked Saturday night, along with quiet pockets of Charleston, S.C. While it remains murky as to who exactly is behind the ongoing turbulence taking place in dozens of cities nationwide, much of the finger-pointing has been directed toward Antifa, a radical left-wing anti-fascist outfit.

Aung San Letting Japanese Kill Me & My Family?

As the situation deteriorated day by day the Japanese drove themselves harder and wanted the Burmese to do the same, and when we could not do it to their extent and in their way they grew morbidly suspicious of us. With every setback their suspicions increased till it made them lose all judgment in their relations with us the Burmese.

They simply could not understand that the only way to win over our people was to demonstrate to them that they were really independent and that their independence was being threatened by the British enemy. Instead, the militarists acted as if we existed only to carry out their orders without questioning.

It created a moral deadlock, for the Burmese felt that if they had to fight the British it would have to be for themselves primarily. Soon both sides were moving in a vicious circle. The more the danger from the enemy (the British Army) drew closer the more stories were spread by the enemy’s secret agents and partisans that many of us in the government were collaborating with the British, and the more these stories were believed by the militarists generally.

Again, the more we tried to rouse the old anti-colonial emotions by making our independence real and visible, the more the militarists were convinced that we were trying to desert them in their defeat. It, created a mental panic among the Japanese which paved the way for the eventual resistance against them. They began to see a secret enemy in every member of the Burmese government who acted independently of them or even asked too many questions, and needless to say I was regarded as the principal enemy agent.

Suzuki & Sawamoto: Burma's Founding Fathers (3)

Suzuki and all his officers from
Minami-Kikan were Nakano
Spy School graduates.
In mid-1940 the Navy General Staff knew more about the political and economic situation in Burma than did Army General Staff Headquarters. Kokubu Shozo (a dashing naval reserve officer) had been keeping Navy Headquarters informed on the political situation and economic resources through a series of reports based on several years first-hand acquaintance.

Army general Staff Headquarters, on the other hand, had no such source of information on Burma, but had just sent Suzuki to Burma to learn what he could.

Kokubu's main contacts in the independence movement, by contrast, were with the Aung Than and Ba Sein faction of the Thakhin Party. With them Kokubu had discussed the drafting of a plan for Burma's independence. Kokubu also knew the general situation Burma well and had taken a Foreign Ministry official, Ohashi Chuichi, on a tour of a railway viaduct (Goat-Htate Bridge) on the Burma Road.

For Kokubu's pains he and Ohashi were arrested by British Police who suspected a plot to blow up the bridge. Through Kokubu's friends in both Navy Headquarters and Foreign Ministry he was called to Naval Headquarters and asked for information.
