'Honour killing' lecture plan causes storm: NSW government figures have slammed plans for the Sydney Opera House to host a lecture examining whether honour killings can be morally justified, as the lecturer urges critics to "calm down" and wait to hear him out.

The annual Festival of Dangerous Ideas provoked a social media backlash on Tuesday with the announcement that its line-up this year includes a talk entitled "Honour killings are morally justified," to be delivered by Uthman Badar, a writer and spokesman for Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir.

Minister for Women Pru Goward and Minister for Citizenship and Communities Victor Dominello have both spoken out. "The justification of honour killings has no place in this country, and frankly I'm surprised the idea is being entertained," Ms Goward said in a statement. "Free speech is one thing, but to advocate the honour killing of women is abhorrent and goes against Australian values."

I grew up in a small island town called Maw-Gyun (officially known as Moulmein-Gyun), where my large maternal clan still live, in the delta of River Irrawaddy in Lower Burma. Our little town was in the still-southward-expanding vast delta of the mighty river Irrawaddy.

Most of the town folks including my family were deeply religious as devout Buddhists. The small town had three Buddhist monasteries and I went to the Primary School run by the Buddhist monks from the biggest monastery.

Our little town also had a sizeable population of Muslims and a large community of Christians. Most Muslims were the descendants of Indian immigrants from the subcontinent during the colonial times and the Christians were the local ethnic tribe of Kayins and some Chinese traders.

The number of unaccompanied children from the continent of South America into the U.S. has reached 90,000 since October, and expected to hit 140,000 by the end of this year. US Border Patrol is expecting nearly a million children some as young as three will enter US illegally in next three years.

The official story is that they are fleeing drug-gang mayhem and political violence in their home countries, and so are refugees and asylum-seekers. But the Guatemalan ambassador has said they are seeking economic opportunity and the “American dream.” Parents there are paying people-smugglers to take their kids to US now considered open-wide for illegal minors.

It’s hard, however, not to see a connection with Obama’s 2012 Deferred Action for Arrivals Program, which defers deportation for illegal aliens who are minors. Obama enacted by his unlawful Executive Order––and just recently extended for 2 years––this open invitation to illegal minors when Congress proved unwilling to pass his Dream Act legislation.

Marie Stopes International a London-based INGO is one of the largest international family planning organisations in the world. Its website claimed that millions of the world's poorest and most vulnerable women trust Marie Stopes International to provide them with quality family planning and reproductive healthcare.

Marie Stopes International claimed to be one of very few providers allowed to work in Myanmar (Burma) and they have provided best practice integrated sexual and reproductive healthcare services to hundreds of thousands of Burmese women since 1998. They claimed that many poor Burmese women turn to them for help each year, whether in limiting the size of their families, or avoiding dangerous complications in pregnancy or unsafe abortion.

But recently on June-17 our Shin Wirathu the famous Nationalist-Buddhist monk has accused that the Mari Stopes International is running a nasty genocidal campaign -- massively financed by OIC Arabs’ petrol dollars -- in which young Burmese women and teenage girls from many Buddhist-villages all over Burma are misleadingly inserted with free near-permanent contraceptive devices the DIAPHRAGMS after lying to the Burmese that those devices are for cervical cancer protection. 

Muslims’ Forced Marriages Are To Be Outlawed In UK

United Kingdom being overrun by Muslims will soon be outlawing “Forced marriages & Sham Marriages” widely practiced by the Muslims in UK originally mainly from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India.

Figures from the Home Office Forced Marriage Unit show 1,468 cases of “Forced Marriages” were recorded in 2011. However, that is thought to be a tiny fraction of the actual numbers in the UK. Statistics for 2012 also illustrate that more than half of the people involved in suspected cases of forced marriage originate from south Asia: Pakistan (46%), Bangladesh (9.2%), UK (8.7%) and India (7.2%).

British Prime Minister David Cameron even gave the sham-marriage example of a Pakistani national who applied for a spouse visa on the basis of his marriage to someone settled in the UK. He said the Pakistani fraudster obtained indefinite leave to remain and then immediately divorced his UK-based spouse, returned to Pakistan and re-married and then applied for entry clearance for his new spouse.

Burmese Need Laws To Protect Their Race & Religion

My monastery is in a large village in Hinthada Township of Irrawaddy Division. Out of nearly 500 households of the village more than 100 households are illegal Bengali-Muslims and their numerous mixed-Bengali-Burmese-Muslim offspring.  

Years back the village was a pure Burmese-Buddhist village with a large monastery with many monks. But about 30 years ago an out-of-town Bengali-Muslim somehow managed to marry a local Buddhist girl and started an illegal cattle-slaughter-hut and beef wholesale-and-retail shop. He quickly prospered and later brought in more Bengali-Muslims into village and hooked them up with some Burmese-Buddhist girls and the rapid breedings began.

Now the village has a large Saudi-funded mosque prospering right in the middle while the poor monastery is still on the edge with only one middle-aged monk (Phone-gyi) me and a couple of young novices (Ko-yin) and an old man (Kart-pi-ya) taking care of everything else.

And this is the true story -- that I have witnessed over the years -- of how one Bengali-Muslim has turned a large Burmese-Buddhist village in Irrawaddy Delta the Burmese-Buddhist heartland into a half-breed and quarter-breed Bengali-Burmese-Muslim village in less than thirty short years.

Saudi Man Destroyed Buddha Statues In Tokyo Temple

A Saudi Graduate Student Vandalized & Destroyed four Ancient Buddha Statues in Sensoji Temple of Asakusa Suburb in Tokyo. It was a typical case of Sudden Jihad Syndrome commonly infected many Muslim males all over the world as all those Muslims have innate hatred towards Buddhists and Buddhism.

A Saudi graduate student vandalized and destroyed several ancient Buddhas that were designated as important Japanese cultural symbols in downtown Tokyo. One of the statues was 300 years old. The incident happened around midnight. The man said he carried out a similar attack at another temple.

A Saudi Arabian man has been arrested for vandalizing Buddhist statues at a temple in downtown Tokyo. Police say they received an emergency call about a foreigner behaving violently at the Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, Taito Ward at around midnight on Wednesday May-11.

We in the United States are very used to our single-member district, winner-take-all style of elections. We've all grown up with a system where we elect members of our legislatures one at a time in small districts, with the winner being the candidate with the most votes.

This system seems so "natural" that proportional representation (PR) elections may at first appear a bit strange to us. Adding to the potential confusion is the fact that there are several different kinds of PR systems in use around the world.

But in reality, the principles underlying proportional representation systems are very straightforward and all of the systems are easy to use.
