A huge Saudi-funded mosque burning in Meikhtilar. |
Without counting the regularly-shifting military-population
from the LID-99’s cantonment area and Shandae the second largest air-force base
in Burma the total population of Meikhtilar is only about 100,000 and, believe
it or not, the Muslims represent 30% of Meikhtilar residents.
With financial support from the Islamic world outside Burma
the Meikhtilar Muslims prosper enviably amidst the Buddhist majority who have
been agitated deeply by the growing number of affluent foreign-looking Muslims
in the town.
The Arakan race riots last year and the unrelenting pressure on
Burma from the Saudi-funded OIC-led Islamic world to grant the millions of illegal
Bengali-Muslims on the Bangladeshi border Burmese citizenship have made the Buddhists,
not just in Meikhtilar but the whole Burma, slowly simmering with deep anger
for a while now.
Burmese nationalist politicians almost exploded when the so-call UN Special Reporteur For Human Rights in Burma and that anti-Burmese-Buddhist Tomas Quintana openly called for the repeal of Burma's 1982 Citizenship Law so that millions and millions of illegal Bengali-Muslims will be granted Burmese citizenship.

Hajima Daw Suu and her hardcore Muslim supporters. |
“The Muslims already
have money and commercial control and now they also want political control over
us. Why?” the Meikhtilar Buddhists asked themselves and
they do not like it at all, naturally. The Nationalist Buddhist monks’ 969
campaign to patronize only the Buddhist businesses also has been raising
general awareness of growing Muslim’s commercial power.
Town Muslims’
Commercial Control over Rural Buddhists
The main problem of semi-rural town like Meikhtilar is that
the Burmese rural population (Bamars) from all the villages in the township has to rely completely on the commercial class from the town.
The main produce like peanuts and sesame and toddy-palm-sugar
from the villages after a good harvest are sold and distributed all over the
country through the town merchants who are also the principal financiers
lending money or providing cash-advances against next year produce to the
village people who are deeply religious and suspicious of people from other
religions.
The most important commercial dealing between the villages
and the town’s commercial class is buying and selling of gold in the form of
jewelleries. In a country with hardly any commercial banking system most rural families
keep their savings as gold jewelleries purchased from the town gold shops and they
also frequently sell their gold back to the same gold shops whenever they need
cash.
And when these simple-minded Buddhist villagers buy gold from Muslim shops they have to pay premium price as hand-crafted jewelleries but when they sell the same gold jewelleries back to the same Muslim shops the Muslims give then much lower price as just raw gold metal. Basically the Buddhists are being screwed twice by the greedy Muslims on same gold piece and they know it but they have no choice as the Bengali-Muslims gain near monopoly on the gold trade in most rural towns in Burma.
Opening a profitable gold shop requires a substantial capital investment and because of the availability of foreign Islamic money coming through their mosques Bengali-Muslims are able to rapidly take over most gold shops in the rural towns like Meikhtilar. The illegal Bengali-Muslims and their descendants are now the moneyed-class in Burma's most rural towns.

The illegal Bengali-Muslims and their descendants are now the moneyed-class in Burma's most rural towns.
And the inevitable result is that the rural Buddhist-Burmese
are quickly becoming totally dependent on the Muslims in the town and they
deeply resented that heavy commercial dependency.
That’s why the very first trigger for the Meikhtilar race-riots
was a serious gold shop dispute which the Buddhist-Burmese considered as just one of regular unscrupulous
acts of greedy town Muslims (Kalars). Killing of a Buddhist monk was the second trigger for the
Meikhtilar race-riots.
Muslim-owned gold shops being destroyed in Meikhtilar. |
After India-Pakistan war in 1971 and the establishment of the
Islamic Republic of Bangladesh and the subsequent turmoils in that country had
forced millions of Bengali-Muslims into Burma. Even the Bangladeshi Ambassador
in Burma admitted in 1975 that at least half a million illegal Bangladeshis
were in Burma then.
Illegal Bengali-Muslim plague on the Burma-Bangladesh border in Northern-Arakan. |
And that is the root cause of the burning of Muslims and
their mosques and madrassas in Middle Burma just last week.
Thein Sein’s Government and ASSK’s NLD can blame as much as they wanted on certain
political interest groups and even on the nationalist monks and their 969 campaign
for the recent race riots or even on the recalcitrant army. They can also arrest and charge and jail as many Burmese-Buddhist rioters as they wanted for the horrific murders and the arson and the destruction these poor Burmese-Buddhists willingly committed.
But the anti-Islamic and anti-Bengali-Muslim riots will
definitely be coming back frequently from time to time to haunt them ruling class as long as the
root cause of these so-called race riots the rapid Islamization of Burma by
illegal Bengali-Muslims is not totally removed.
Especially while their Islamic brothers Bangladeshi Muslims are
committing the horrible Buddhist-cleansings in their former homeland
Bangladesh.
(To please the restless Buddhist masses all over Burma Thein Sein Government yesterday announced that all the Mosques destroyed in Meikhtilar and other towns are not allowed to rebuild unless the Muslims can show the solid proof that their mosques were originally built with the legal permission from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.)
NLD’s Unbelievable Indifference to the Plight of Burmese-Buddhists
The serious accusations repeatedly levelling at ASSK’s NLD by
Shin Wirathu-led nationalist Buddhist monks are that the NLD is happily embracing
the affluent town-Muslims into its rank and file while basically ignoring the plight
of Burmese Buddhists from the villages, caused by the same Bengali-Muslims.

NLD’s Unbelievable Indifference to the Plight of Burmese-Buddhists
Zubai Osama Win Htein. (The caricature from one Nationalist Web Site.) |
Former Burmese army captain Win Htein also a former political
prisoner and ASSK’s security-chief is now the NLD Member of Parliament for
Meikhtilar and he was in Meikhtilar during that three days of race-riots.
Following was the direct translation of what he bitterly said of the so-called violent
Burmese-Buddhist mob from his hometown Meikhtilar.
“I’m a true Meikhtilar
local and I’ve never witnessed such brutal-devastation in my life. Not even in
the 8-8-88 uprising. Not in the 1967 Chinese-Burmese race-riots. The Muslims
here have been living here for generations. I know most of them personally.
Many of them are from our NLD.
I felt sad and totally
ashamed of what Buddhist-Burmese had brutally done to them Muslims. I went around and saw the
atrocities and killing with my own eyes. Burmese-Buddhists are unbelievably
wild and cruel. Yesterday I personally tried to stop the mob and they even
turned on me their local MP.
I also saw the
killings of our Muslims with my own eyes. And most of the killed here in Meikhtilar
were Muslims. I’m saying these not because I’m siding with the Muslims. I
believe the Muslims are our people too. They are an ethnic-nationality in our
country, a kind of ethnic group. I couldn’t believe my own eyes after seeing
many Buddhist monks were inciting those atrocities and even leading the mobs of
Burmese-Buddhists.”
Min Ko Naing and Muslims. |
Min Ko Naing the well-known leader of the so-called 8-8-88 Generation
Student Leaders group also berated and badmouthed the Buddhists of Meikhtilar
for the devastating race-riots. Here was what he said of the Burmese-Buddhists
in Meikhtilar and accusing the army as the behind-the-scene instigators of anti-Muslim
race-riots.
“This mob is an armed
organization. A mob of people with weapons in their hands are killing a person
for no good reason right in front of the security force’s eyes. As humanists,
we just want to offer people protection.
The other thing I
would like to say is that some rioters jostled the police and pushed against
their riots shields. The way the police treat peaceful demonstrators and the
way they treat violent rioters is different. They are just too lenient to the armed-rioters.
Online propaganda has
a lot of influence on people. Those who go online and write about events should
take responsibility for what they write. But, many have uploaded hateful
comments and made allegations under the cloak of anonymity. Nowadays you cannot
afford to close your eyes and just listen to the news. Much of it is
propaganda. Even the photos might be fake.
But the people of
Meikhtilar must be aware of the bad-old-army. They could be using the anarchy
brought upon us by the anti-Muslim race riots like they did before in our 8-8-88
Uprising. We don’t want to be under their war-boots again, do we?”
Min Ko Naing might be saying what he really believes in, but unlike him NLD's Win Htein is only protecting his personal and political interests as the Muslim votes and Muslim money got him elected to the Burma Parliament. One thing he appears not to understand is Muslims are just electing him as a temporary measure to protect their own interests.
Once they have the numbers they will dump the Burmese-Buddhist Win Htein like a heavy rock on their collective back and elect their own kind, a Bengali-Muslim MP for Meikhtilar. But they haven't got the numbers yet till more Bengali-Muslims arrive from the border. They're just patiently waiting for that to happen.
And the Nationalists Burmese-Buddhists' job is to prevent that possible scenario from realizing by burning their mosques and thus driving them Muslims out of Meikhtilar, as simple as that.
NLD and the 8-8-88
Student Politicians Are Becoming Socialists
George Soros in Rangoon (April 2013). |
The alarming trend among pro-democracy activists and popular
Burmese politicians like NLD’s Win Htein and the 8888 Group’s Min Ko Naing is
that they all are quickly becoming so-called Social Democrats - just a progressive-sounding
name for left-wing Socialists and hardcore Communists in the Europe and the
United States.
At this moment one of
the self-proclaimed leaders of that left-leaning Socialists George Soros the American
multi-billionaire and the founder of Open Society is in Rangoon and he has been
secretly meeting the leaders of his pet group the 8-8-88
Students-turned-wannabe-politicians.
The European Socialists have been courting the NLD for a
while now since ASSK was under house arrest and NLD has been sending its
wannabe-politicians overseas to attend various meet-and-greet conferences of
the Socialist parties in Europe. A group of NLD youths had just visited Poland for their Socialist lessons.
Just last June 2012
our Win Htein the NLD MP for Meikhtilar attended the four days long “The Summit
of Alliance of Liberal Democrats for Europe (ALDE) and The Council of Asian
Liberals and Democrats (CLAD)” held in the Brussels of Belgium. The conference
was attended by the Socialist MPs from the parliaments from Europe, East Asia, and
South-East Asia.
Win Htein himself acknowledged
that he was directly selected and invited by the executive committees of ALDE
and CLAD for his left-leaning, progressive, inclusive, and liberal political
views. In other word he was openly admitting that he is a proud Socialist.
Win Htein and His daughter at Rangoon Airport for their European trip. |
In my humble opinion the seriously left-leaning politicians in
Burma are on the verge of copying the same multicultural policies from the
European Socialists. And thus repeating the same serious mistakes by European Socialists
of letting the Muslims and the Islamists take over their European nations and
destroy their own cultures and societies for no good reason other than progressive
inclusiveness widely known as the mulculturalism.
These stupid Socialists whether they are from Europe or USA
or Asia didn’t realise soon enough that Muslims and their Islamic culture do not want
to coexist with other cultures and religions but only to dominate or completely destroy
other cultures and religions and our Buddhism is number one in their target
list.
And while the European Socialists are now paying a very dear
price for their mistakes our stupid Socialist politicians in Burma are now
trying hard to copy their bad policies of Inclusion and Multiculturalism.
Will History Repeat
and Kill Buddhist-Peasants Again Like in 1930?
Modern History of Belgium where Muslim has now taken over the capital Brussels and violently asking for stone-age Islamic Sharia Law in Belgium. |
1930 Peasant Revolution leader Saya San. |
These stupid Burmese Socialists like NLD’s politicians and
8-8-88 Generationers are oblivious of what had happened in 1930. Or they have completely
forgotten about their grandfathers and fathers who had given their lives and
bloods for the independence of Buddhist Burma these so-called politicians have inherited.
The Saya San Peasant
Revolt in 1930 was caused by almost exact situations like now. Only difference between
then and now was the moneyed-class then was Hindu-Indian-Chittys and the
moneyed-class now is Muslim-Bengalis.
Saya San an ex-Buddhist-monk led the bloody peasant revolt against
that Kalar moneyed-class and the British colonial government, but his year-long
rebellion was brutally put down by the massive Indian Brigades brought in directly
from India by the British Government.
Muslim Indian troops led by British officers machin-gunned
down thousands and thousands of rebelling Burmese-Buddhist peasants armed only with
swords and spears, then chopped the heads of their leaders, and gruesomely displayed
their heads on bamboo pikes in the bazaars of major Burmese towns in the rebellious
regions. Saya San finally was captured and hung.
If that history of
peasant rebellion repeats again in the near future who will be the suppressor
of our peasants? Will the soldiers of our Burmese army gun down brutally the
people who are exactly like their parents and uncles and cousins just
because some stupid Socialist lefties running the government of that days order
them to do so? I hope not!
